BitDam Named Gartner Cool Vendor

BitDam is Named a Cool Vendor by Gartner in the May 2020 Cool Vendors in Cloud Office Security

Organizations can protect multiple enterprise collaboration tools using one security platform.

Tel Aviv, Israel– May 14, 2020 –  BitDam, a leading provider of cybersecurity solutions that protect enterprise communications from unknown threats hidden in files and links, today announced that it has been named a Cool Vendor in the Cool Vendors in Cloud Office Security report by Gartner, Inc.  BitDam is one of four vendors recognized in the research and advisory firm’s report.

According to the report, “as cloud office suite adoption becomes nearly universal, security and risk management leaders must explore ways to protect sensitive information from risks and threats.” Further, “with the rise of business email compromise, buyers often look for a single product that can provide protection against all advanced cloud office threats.”

The report notes that “security and risk management leaders should recognize that cloud office security technology is evolving and converging in sometimes unpredictable ways.” Further, “the vendors included in this Cool Vendors report focus specifically upon securing applications, communication and data that occur within cloud office environments.”

BitDam is cloud-based cyber solution that protects organizations from cyberattacks hidden in malicious files and links across collaboration platforms. BitDam’s attack-agnostic technology analyzes application executions and allows user access to files and web links that induce legitimate executions, in which applications behave as they were designed to perform.

“In our opinion, the Gartner Cool Vendors in Cloud Office Security report is a resource for security decision makers everywhere. We believe the recognition of BitDam is a significant step forward for our company,” said Liron Barak, CEO, BitDam. “Other threat protection solutions are data-driven, basing their detection on knowledge of past attacks and therefore tend to miss emerging unknown threats. Our approach is the exact opposite – basing detection on deviation from legitimate applications’ execution flows  – which allows us to detect unknown threats at first encounter[1],” she added. “We are extremely pleased to be named in this Cool Vendor report; to us, this is an important recognition for BitDam.”
